Glasgow food spot transforms into 'cosy cottage' as southside favourite returns
A popular southside food spot has been transformed into a "cosy cottage" as it reopened after being inundated with requests from customers to return.
Cottage 10 has been closed for a short while, however, the Torrisdale Street restaurant, just a stones throw away from Queen's Park, is officially back open for business following an exciting refurb. With a new look, cosier vibe and "improved flavours", the team are excited to welcome customers.
Its offerings include the popular pizza and pasta combination with a range of flavours to choose, from Spicy Cajun Chicken to Vegan pizza paired with Penne Al' Arabbiatta pasta (tomato base with chicken, crushed chillies and garlic) or Spaghetti Gamberetti (garlic and chilli king prawns, cherry tomatoes and Italian herbs in a Napoli sauce) - other choices are available.

Items on the menu also include gourmet burgers - with a vegan and veggie option - as well as a strong selection of sides, special dishes and desserts.
One of the restaurant's owners, who also owns Steak Inn and What the Fudge, told Glasgow Live: "A reason which drove us to reopen was the fact we were getting a lot of requests from our old customers. People would come up saying they miss us.
"It feels amazing to be back open."
The building previously housed Bradford Bakers, which quickly outgrew the site and moved out in the 70s. However, its external "historical features" remain intact to this day.
Inside, Cottage 10 has been revamped to create a more homely vibe away from the hustle and bustle of the city's southside.
The owner added: "When you come inside, you feel transformed like you’re in a different place. It was all about making it feel homely and much cosier.
"The main thing is to create a family-friendly atmosphere. Our plan is to have regular special dishes which change each week.
"We are prepping a lot of ingredients and making food from scratch so it can take a few minutes longer, but the whole idea is to give fresh food to our customers. It’ll be about listening to the customers feedback and about what they want."
The usual opening days are Tuesday to Sunday from 3 pm to 10 pm. However, Cottage 10, on Torrisdale Street, will be open between the same times from Monday to Sunday for the next three weeks.
