Glasgow Gallowgate streets reopen and man in hospital after bus hits pedestrian
A man is in hospital after a bus struck a pedestrian in Glasgow's Gallowgate early this morning (Monday, January 20).
Melbourne Street, Barrack Street and Bellgrove Street were closed in the city's east end following the crash around 6.35am. The roads have since been reopened by police.
Detectives said enquiries remain ongoing into the incident. The pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment.

His condition is not yet known. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Melbourne Street, Barrack Street, Bellgrove Street in Glasgow have now re-opened following a crash at 6.35am on Monday, 20 January, 2025 involving a bus and a pedestrian.
"The male pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing."
