Locals in Glasgow's west end have been left to wonder where to go, after two diversion signs were pictured pointing in different directions.

The two diversion signs, on Dumbarton Road in Partick, point both left and right, leaving locals to wonder which is the best way to go, with roadworks hitting the area.

One local, David MacKinnon, posted the picture on social media and said: "If in doubt, straight ahead."

Responding in the comments, one person wrote: "Only in Partick lol."

Another joked "No one knows if they’re coming or going."

A third added: "Did that once in Liverpool. Recently moved there and not knowing the area, drove onto a building site thinking it was a car park near the pub."

It comes after amused Partick locals were left asking "who's Patrick" after a West End shop changed its sign.
