Glasgow man injured in horror fall from balcony as police tape off street

A man has been rushed to hospital after falling from a balcony in Glasgow on Saturday morning.

Emergency services including police and paramedics rushed to the incident on Glenfinnan Road, in the Wyndford area, at around 6.30am.

A 27-year-old man was blue-lighted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. The nature of his condition remains unknown.

Police officers taped off the road during the incident with the cordon now understood to have been lifted. The force confirmed that there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers in Glasgow received a report of a man having fallen from a balcony on Glenfinnan Road around 6.30am on Saturday, 1 June, 2024.

"Emergency services attended a 27-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance.

"Enquiries are ongoing however there are no apparent suspicious circumstances."
