An urgent search has been launched for a man who was last seen in the north west of the city nearly three weeks ago.

Ian Vukomba was reported missing after failing to make contact with friends or family. He was last seen in Drumchapel on Thursday, August 22.

Police are asking for the public's help in tracing the missing 33-year-old who they believe may have travelled to Manchester or Bolton. Ian is described as being 5ft10 in height, of medium build, with short black hair and brown eyes

He was last seen wearing a navy blue puffer jacket, black hooded jumper, black jogging trousers, black shoes and a red bandana.

Sergeant Gavin Stewart, Drumchapel Police Station, said: “Ian was last seen in Drumchapel on Thursday, 22 August 2024. He has not been in touch with family or friends in Scotland since then hence the concern. Although we have yet to confirm this, we believe that he may have travelled to England, possibly the Manchester/Bolton area.

“We’d ask that anyone with information as to his whereabout contact police on 101. Please quote reference number 1393 of Thursday, 5 September 2024. We’d also ask Ian to get in touch with either police or his family to let us know he is safe and well.”
