Glasgow man rushed to hospital after being struck by car while on afternoon cycle
A man was rushed to hospital after he was struck by a car while cycling in Glasgow on Thursday.
The collision happened while the man was cycling along Levernside Road in the Pollok area of the city on Thursday afternoon (September 19).
Emergency services scrambled to the scene at around 12.40pm with police, an ambulance, two paramedic response units and a special operations response team all dispatched.
The man was blue-lighted to hospital for treatment - his current condition is unknown.

Police Scotland are now looking into the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.40pm on Thursday, September 19, 2024, police received a report of a crash involving a cyclist and a car on Levernside Road, Glasgow.
"The male cyclist was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing."
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 12:38pm to attend an incident on Levernside Road, Pollok, Glasgow.
"We dispatched one ambulance, two paramedic response units (PRU), and one special operations response team (SORT) to the scene. One patient was transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital."
