Glasgow park taped off as police rush to scene after sudden death of man

A Glasgow park has been taped off by police after the sudden death of a man.

The incident happened in Elder Park on Govan Road at around 2.55pm today (Monday, June 24).

Officers rushed to the scene shortly after and cordoned off a section of the park to the public this afternoon. The park remains taped off.

Police Scotland has confirmed the death of the man is being treated as unexplained but say it is not believed to be suspicious.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We received a report of the sudden death of a man in Elder Park, Govan Road, Glasgow, around 2.55pm on Monday, 24 June, 2024.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained but not believed to be suspicious”.
