Glasgow police release CCTV image after deliberate city centre fire

Police believe the man pictured may be able to assist their ongoing enquiries

Police Scotland has released a CCTV image of a man in connection with a deliberate fire in Glasgow city centre.

The fire-raising incident happened at around 7pm on October 2 on Renfield Lane near to Renfield Street in Glasgow - officers probing the incident believe the man pictured can assist with their ongoing enquiries.

In the image the man is wearing a woollen hat, a dark/navy hooded jacket and dark blue jeans - he was also carrying a dark backpack.

The man himself or anyone who may recognise him are asked to contact police.

Detective Constable Matthew McCann said, “I would urge the man pictured or anyone who has information relating to him to contact police”.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 3524 of 2 October 2024. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be passed anonymously.
