Police have locked down London Road in the Calton area of Glasgow in an apparent ongoing incident.

The road close to the Barras Market is currently cordoned off. Brunch restaurant Scran, located on London Road, took to social media to say the restaurant has "been forced to close" on its "busiest day of the week".

Speaking to Glasgow Live, the Scran team said: "We were forced to close as the police said there was a risk of things kicking off and as we were stuck directly in the middle of the street we didn't want to put our customers or staff at risk".

The restaurant also shared footage of police blocking London Road at Bain Street and Kent Street with vans around midday on Sunday (November 10).

A police spokesperson confirmed police are in attendance at an Apprentice Boys of Derry parade through the city today, with the route including London Road.

According to Glasgow City Council's public processions page, around 70 members of Bridgeton Apprentice Boys of Derry are expected to march from Tullis Street to Cathedral Square and back today, via London Road.

This is a breaking incident, we will bring you more when we have it.
