Just when we thought summer was over, this week, Glasgow will be as hot as Barcelona with possible highs of 23°C.

After a not so great summer (weather wise), there is light at the end of the tunnel as the city is set to be hit with scorching temperatures.

The Met Office predicts foggy conditions early morning from Tuesday to Friday this week however, it will soon clear to allow for 'plenty' of sunshine.

Experts predict a dry day with heaps of sunshine on Tuesday (September 17) - the city is expected to be as hot as sunny Spain with highs of 21°C.

Wednesday (September 18) will be the hottest day of the week with the highest possible temperature soaring to 23°C. The Met Office predict a dry, warm and sunny hump day - breaking the week up nicely, and more importantly the chance of rain in the city on Wednesday is 0 per cent, with the wind blowing at 5km/h.

It'll become a little cloudier as we head into the weekend with highs of around 17°C expected over Saturday.
