Glasgow 'serious assault' as man rushed to hospital after park slashing

A man is in hospital following a brutal attack at Glasgow Green early Sunday morning.

Police were called to reports of a serious assault at the park around 5.30am Sunday (November 17). GlasgowLive understands the incident was a 'slashing'.

The man, aged 30, was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. Detectives are investigating the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.30am on Sunday, 17 November, 2024 we received a report of a serious assault at Glasgow Green.

"A 30-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing."
