Glasgow southside water repairs remain ongoing after burst pipe flooded street
Repair works to a burst water pipe in Glasgow's southside, which affected people in Shawlands and Strathbungo remain ongoing after overnight efforts to sort the issue.
In an update on Sunday (February 2) morning, Scottish Water confirmed it is continuing to fix a 27 inch water main on Pollokshaw Road, near Maxwell Road, after the main flooded the street on Saturday (February 1). It is hoped the problem will be fixed by around 10am.
The burst pipe led to many in the G5, G41, G42, G43 and G44 postcodes being left with an "interruption" to their water supply. Pollokshaw Road remains closed due to the repair works.

Operations have been completed to re-route the water through different parts of the network and bring all customers back into supply, however pressure may be less than normal.
Scottish Water says further network adjustments are being made to try and boost pressure and restore normal water supplies.
Customers who requested bottled water will be contacted to ensure their supplies are restored. Anyone experiencing discoloured water has been advised to run their cold water kitchen tap at half pressure until the water runs clear.
A spokesperson for Scottish Water said: "A road closure is in place, please allow extra time for journeys through this area and take care while following all traffic management signage.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue and thank affected customers for their patience and understanding while we work to resolve the matter."
There is also an issue with water supply in Rutherglen and Cambuslang due to a separate burst pipe on Florence Street. Scottish Water is working to fix the issue.
Any customers impacted by flooding should contact Scottish Water's customer services helpline for support on 0800 0778 778.
