Glasgow Subway to stay open late on Sundays as festive timetable revealed

The Glasgow Subway will open late every Sunday as opening hours are extended in the run up to Christmas.

Currently, every Sunday until Christmas, the city's Clockwork Orange will be running services until 8.30pm. Usually, trains on a Sunday run until around 6pm.

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) said: "Once again we’re extending our Sunday opening hours to allow you to make the most of everything the city has to offer over the festive period."

The Sunday hours will be a boost to subway users, who will now have more time to enjoy Glasgow's festivities.

SPT also revealed the Subway will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
