Glasgow's Christmas has fully arrived with the North Star offering instagrammable moments and the second instalment of Winterfest at George Square providing plenty of family fun.

Should you be looking to head along to Glasgow's own festive wonderland and market, we've popped along ahead of the crowds for this year's event to see what you can expect after organisers M & N Events opened their second Winterfest after St Enochs Square launched earlier this month.

With plenty of funfair rides and attractions including the Big Wheel, children's rides and of of course the debut of the new 80ft drop tower (yes you read that right), there is a lot to see and do.

With a cleaner and less cluttered layout and a red carpet covering the full square giving it an even more festive feel, it's even easier to navigate and to help with planning ahead, we've pulled together a list of the prices to give you a rough idea of how much things cost and what you can expect. (Prices as always may be subject to change)

The Big Wheel

The Big Wheel, which at 33m offers stunning views of the city and the ideal opportunity for a cute family photo. This year, it costs £7.50 for adults and £6.50 for kids under 12.

The Blizzard

The thrilling ride that swings people high into the sky is priced at £9 per person.

The Carousel

The kids rides all require tokens, which can be purchased on site and the classic carousel is priced at £4 per go.

The Wave Swinger

At just £5 the wave swinger is a classic ride that provides plenty of fun for all the family with even younger ones able to enjoy, though once again there is a min height requirement.
