Glasgow George Square Christmas market opening times confirmed as Winterfest kicks off this weekend
With the Glasgow Christmas Light switch on having taken place at the weekend, George Square is now set to undergo its annual transformation into a Christmas wonderland.
That's right, Winterfest is set to return this Saturday (November 23) with plenty of festive family fun on offer.
Transforming the city centre spot into a "spectacular winter wonderland", the organisers say residents and visitors can look forward to "festive magic, thrilling rides, and holiday cheer".

With St Enoch Square already open, here is what to expect from the George Square Winterfest Hub.
What to expect
As well as the usual Christmas markets packed with plenty of gift ideas, artisan treats and festive-themed food and drink, the George Square Winter Hub will also feature exhilarating attractions like the Booster Maxx and the glittering Wave Swinger.
Family favourites like the Carousel, Santa’s Train, a towering Big Wheel, and the enchanting Ice Rink (which you can book in advance) will also be returning.
If you'd like to enjoy the ice skating, then tickets for the rink be bought online ahead of your session on the website.
Are there any new attractions this year?
80m Drop Tower - The Lion Tower, which sees riders plunged at amazing speeds, is coming to the city as part of this year's festive celebrations, the ride, which stands at 262 feet or 80 meters tall, will offer amazing views of the square and the city for those brave enough to take it on.

What are the opening hours?
Opening Hours at George Square: Winterfest will run from Monday to Friday, 11 am until 10 pm and Saturday and Sunday, 10 am until 10 pm.
