Glasgow Winterfest to host epic 80-metre drop tower as ride makes UK debut at George Square
Glasgow's Christmas celebrations are set to return this November, including free-to-enter markets, other attractions and, for the first time, an epic new ride thrill seekers will love.
The organisers, M&N Events say this year's Winterfest, which will run from November to January at George Square, promises even more entertainment and family-friendly fun than last year, with the exciting Lion Tower set to make its UK debut.
The 80-metre drop tower, which sees riders plunged at amazing speeds, is coming to the city as part of this year's festive celebrations and will join the likes of the Booster Maxx Carousel, the Wave Swinger, the Helter Skelter and a Santa’s Train Kids Carousel.

A huge coup for the Winterfest team, the ride, which stands at 262 feet or 80 meters tall, will offer amazing views of the square and the city for those brave enough to take it on.
The much-loved Ice Rink, where you can glide through the winter wonderland, is also set to return, with tickets set to go on sale soon, as well as the big wheel.
