Glasgow woman, 40, dies four days after being hit by pick-up truck in Rutherglen
A woman from Glasgow has died four days after a serious crash in Rutherglen.
At around 8pm on Saturday November 2 officers were called to a report of a crash involving an orange Mitsubishi L200 pick-up truck and a female pedestrian on Farmeloan Road, Rutherglen.
Emergency services attended and 40-year-old Victoria Cairns from Glasgow, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she died on Wednesday, November 6.

The 33-year-old male driver of the pick-up was arrested in connection with road traffic offences and was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, November 4.
Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash with police urging anyone with information to come forward.
Sergeant Andrew Coutts said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman at this difficult time. They have asked that their privacy is respected.
"Our enquiries are ongoing and I would again ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.”
