Glasgow's Bier Halle to celebrate 25 years with 1999 pint prices
A popular Glasgow food and drink venue is set to celebrate 25 years by selling drinks at 1999 prices.
Bier Halle, on Gordon Street, will be offering pints of the pub’s own lager for as little as £2.50 during the celebrations on November 29.
The venue first opened its doors in 1999 and introduced German and eastern European drafts to Glasgow.
As part of the celebrations, Bier Halle will be bringing together “legendary” resident DJs and regulars new and old for a “heroic” party.

Bier Halle was founded by Colin Barr who at the time was the city’s youngest publican. He later went onto open venues such as Bennets - the city’s first gay club - The Tunnel on Mitchell Street - the city’s first super club - and The Apartment, which hosted the likes of Kylie Minogue.
Founder Colin Barr said: “The secret to Bier Halle’s longevity has always been the staff and the care we take to make each and every customer experience the best it can be.
“We take a lot of time to train the staff and make sure they are knowledgeable about every beer we sell from the fridges to our draft beers.
“The music is never too intrusive, we took great care to install a state of the art speaker system that plays tunes so parties can still speak to each other.
“It’s not just a trendy bar, it’s for everybody. Our slogan on opening night was it will all end in beers. It will all end in beers, roll on another 25 years.”
