Glasgow's newest underground bar Sebb's opens on Miller Street

New underground bar Sebb's has arrived in Glasgow, as the city's hotly anticipated latest arrival opens to the public for the first time.

Opening on Miller Street for the first time today, the new venue is found beneath fellow new spot, Margo, and features a dedicated cocktail kitchen with a menu focused on "food cooked over fire".

The latest venture from renowned Scottish restaurant group, Scoop, will be a destination for daytime sessions and late nights soundtracked by a rotating programme of DJs playing vinyl.

Featuring a mixology room and open plan kitchen, the food served up will be cooked on expansive charcoal grill with guests able to catch a glimpse of the live fire cooking.

The team say Sebb’s will take inspiration from the vinyl bars of Europe, hosting some of Glasgow’s best-loved DJs who will play over the bar’s state-of-the-art sound system.

There is also. comprehensive list of cocktails batched in the mixology kitchen, including spritzes, sours, and signature ‘sippers’ – including an Apple and Celery Gimlet (gin, apple, celery and tomato, garnished with togarashi) and a Miso Old Fashioned (miso and brown butter whisky with passionfruit, garnished with miso fudge).

They will be introducing a range of alcoholic slushies such as Strawberry Margarita and Piña Colada, as well as offering a selection of low-intervention European wines available on draught.

The food on offer will draw from head chef Danny Carruthers' love for cooking over fire through grill-led snacks and sharing plates.
