A popular annual wedding show is celebrating its 20th anniversary in Glasgow this month.

The Scottish Wedding Show is returning to the SEC Armadillo from October 8-9, marking two decades since the first show in 2002.

The event is the largest of its kind in Scotland and brings together over 200 of the UK’s top wedding suppliers.

To help couples plan their big day, the show brings together vendors specialising in bridalwear, groomswear, entertainment, venues, florists, wedding cars, and everything else for all kinds of different wedding celebrations.

This month, a series of wedding talks called Let’s Talk Tying The Knot will return with a panel of experts to share tips and tricks for nuptial planning to couples who can also engage in a Q&A session.

There will also be a live catwalk with models donning the latest bride and groom fashion trends.

The looks also include bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride, mother-of-the-groom, flower girl and page boy attire.

There will be a Live Band Showcase and outdoor ceremony ideas from Field of Dreams.

Tickets start at £15 for entry only or £3.50 for catwalk-only tickets.

Tsitsi Lynn Makuni, show manager, said: “We’re really excited to celebrate 20 years of the Scottish Wedding Show and welcome a whole host of newly engaged couples to the event.

“With new and returning suppliers coming together, plus exhibitors that have been with us from the very start, it’s bound to be a show to remember.

“Following the success of our recent event in February, we would advise you to book your ticket now if you haven’t already, as both days of the event and the Catwalk shows are beginning to fill up fast.”
