Glassdoor names 50 best places to work in the UK for 2020

Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest job and recruiting sites, has announced the winners of its sixth annual UK Employee’s Choice Awards.

The awards list the best places to work in the UK and Google tops the list for 2020.

With a rating of 4.5/5, an anonymous Google employee commented on Glassdoor that you work with “genuinely passionate, smart, friendly people. Interesting problems to solve and extremely collaborative culture.” Another said the tech giant ‘allows you to work with cutting edge technology’ as we as ‘within a great, diverse culture where you will learn constantly.’

This year’s top ten also includes Equal Experts, Salesforce, Hiscox, Softcat, Abcam, Microsoft, SAP, Topps Tiles and Arup. Other tech leaders like Apple and Facebook were placed at 32 and 37 respectively.

Google was also ranked as the best place to work on Glassdoor in both 2015 and 2018, but 19 newcomers made the list in 2020 including Equal Experts (2), Topps Tiles (9), Mace (12) and AstraZeneca (41).
