Glastonbury 2016: Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor REFUSED ENTRY To VIP Area

The fickle world of celebrity can be a tricky hemisphere to navigate at the best of times. One minute you’re the hottest property in town, then the next thing you know you’re getting turned away from VIP areas and getting your Soho House membership cancelled.

So spare a thought for freshly-rekindled love-birds Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor- who instead of enjoying an evening of unbridled excess in Glastonbury’s VIP area, ended up getting turned away.

Oh, the shade of it all.

According to The Mirror, the pair were turned away from the door for not having the correct wristbands.

Come on guys - even if you don’t have one, you just get one of your mates to throw one over the fence, surely? Rule #1 of gatecrashing.

The couple then had to wait by the door whilst security came to verify their identity before they were finally allowed to sneak through.

According to a source at the festival – who saw the entire event unfold - “It was a bit embarrassing when they finally tried to get into the area and a member of staff told them they had the wrong wristbands on.”

They were stood at the entrance for a while trying to get in and Millie took her phone out to try and call someone.”

Don’t worry guys – we’ve all been there.

The couple – who got together following Millie’s separation from her husband, Professor Green – are also having to endure the incredibly awkward prospect of bumping into Millie’s ex, who’s also attending the festival.

Former ‘I’m A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here!” star Hugo appeared very calm about the prospect, telling The Mirror that: “It’s a festival [it could happen]. But I don’t know.”

Perhaps not spotting the irony in the situation, he also told the paper that he was keen to keep their relationship out of the public eye: “This is my life, man. We’re happy. People are going to assume what they want. We had something before which was very public, but we’re both good.”
