Glastonbury 2025 headliners: Who's rumoured to be performing?
It's one of the most sought after spots on the festival circuit. No, not the front of the queue at the mac and cheese van (although that too), but the headliner slot at Glastonbury festival. Over the years, true icons have taken to the Pyramid stage, with everyone from The Rolling Stones to David Bowie having a go, while Dua Lipa, Stormzy and Coldplay have nailed it in more recent years.
So, who are the rumoured headliners at Glastonbury 2025? The festival will take place between 25th to 29th June next year, while tickets will cost £373.5o. Tickets go on sale on Thursday 14th November for the coach tickets and Sunday 17th November for the standard tickets.
Glastonbury 2025 rumoured headliners
Rihanna
Um, excuse me? An August 2024 rumour went viral which suggested Queen Riri might be back on stage for 2025, after the singer teased her next studio album was in the works.
According to The Sun, the 36-year-old's ninth record is on the way, and "2025 is set to be her year with a giant tour in the works with Live Nation and yes, Glastonbury is back on the table."
BetIdeas.com also put the odds as 3/1 on Rihanna headlining, making her chance super high. Surprisingly, Rihanna has never performed at Glastonbury, despite being one of the best-selling female music artists of our generation. In February 2023, she took over the half-time show at the Superbowl to rave reviews, something we can only imagine she'd replicate on the Pyramid Stage.
Sam Fender
30-year-old Sam revealed in May 2024 that he was hard at work on his third album, which could line up perfectly for the headline slot next summer. His first two albums Hypersonic Missiles and Seventeen Going Under went to number one, while he won the Brit award for Best Alternative/Rock Act back in 2022.
This summer, he headlined Boardmasters 2024, while he promised "more [tour] dates coming soon x" on Instagram, after his warm-up show in Plymouth sold out. Previously, he has also headlined Reading and Leeds in 2023, while his 13-date European and Australian tour sold out.
Taylor Swift
Yep, you did read that correctly. Off the back of her Eras tour, which comes to an end in Vancouver on 8th December 2024, rumour has it Taylor will be performing it one final time at Glastonbury 2025. Bet Ideas is putting her odds at 3/1 to perform at the festival, which is likely backed up by the fact she was down to headline in 2020, with the festival eventually being cancelled due to the pandemic.
Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis later said in 2022, "I think we've got Taylor next time she's doing some touring..." Um, hello?
Eminem
Another name doing the rounds is Eminem, who released his 12th studio album The Death of Slim Shady in July 2024. Surprisingly, he has never performed at Glastonbury festival, but he did headline Reading and Leeds in 2017, and recently performed at the MTV VMAs in LA in September.
Fred Again
Following a mega successful headline slot at Reading and Leeds festival in August 2024, bookies are convinced Fred Again might be the front runner for the Pyramid Stage next summer. He played a secret set at the festival this year on the Strummerville stage, while he stole the show on the Other Stage in 2023, drawing one of the biggest crowds of the weekend.
He won the Grammy Award for both the Best Dance/Electronic Act and Album this year, while his fourth studio album Ten Days was released in September 2024 - perfect timing, eh?
Olivia Rodrigo
Olivia Rodrigo is currently on her Guts World Tour, which kicked off in February in Palm Desert and goes all the way through to July 2025, where it concludes in Manchester. What's veeeery telling, though, is that the dates of Glastonbury (27 - 29th June 2025) are currently free in her schedule, with Lisbon taking place on the 23rd June, and no other dates in the diary until July.
The 21-year-old singer has numerous accolades to her name, including two number one albums and multiple number one singles, as well as three Grammy Awards, seven Billboard Music Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards.
Harry Styles
A September 2024 report from The Sun claimed Harry Styles was being eyed up for one of the festival's 2025 headline slots, with an insider saying, "Harry would be the perfect Glastonbury headliner and Emily has long wanted him on stage at Worthy Farm, but the dates have never quite worked out.
"Harry would be an incredible act to watch on the Pyramid Stage. Glastonbury has a fallow year in 2026, so booking Harry for next year would be perfect."
The previous One Direction singer recently took over our timelines with his 173 date (!) world tour, with Love On Tour unfolding between September 2021 and July 2023. Since then, the multi-award winning singer has been taking some time out of the limelight, but fans are hoping the rumours are true.
Ed Sheeran
In July 2024, Ed Sheeran revealed the Mathematics Tour will *finally* come to an end in 2025 - with fans speculating about whether it would also include a stop at Glastonbury festival. The 149-stops tour started in Dublin in April 2022 and concludes in September 2025 in Dusseldorf, while the dates of Glastonbury (27 - 29th June 2025) are currently free in his schedule. Ooh.
The 33-year-old singer headlined the festival in 2017 alongside Radiohead and Foo Fighters, while he made his debut way back in 2011. To date, he has seven studio albums to his name, as well as multiple accolades, including seven BRIT Awards and four Grammys.
Raye
Could Raye headline Glastonbury 2025? The singer was the headline act on the Main Stage of BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend this summer, while she also sang to a crowd of 60,000 people on the Pyramid Stage last year, 2023. She won a record-breaking six Brit Awards in February 2024, while her album, 21st Century Blues, went to number one.
