Glastonbury weather 2017: Worthy Farm cold, grey and cloudy as the festival begins
This year's Glastonbury Festival takes place between June 21 and June 25 – but what about the weather? Should you be packing your sun cream and hat, your wellies and a mac, or some flippers and a snorkel? (Okay, we doubt the dreaded mud floods will get so bad they justify the latter combo, but you never know.)
In this regularly updated article, we'll be posting all the latest Glastonbury weather forecasts for this year's festival.
With the festival starting up today, attendees are cautiously optimistic for a warm and sunny weekend, meaning one of two things: 1) dry, sun-baked earth which can easily flood should the rains come, or 2) a glorious, mud-free festival. We can but hope.
Unfortunately, it seems like the blazing sunshine of earlier this week may have already died off, with Accuweather suggesting that there could be intermittent rain throughout the weekend, along with significant cloud cover.
The similar forecast over at BBC Weather suggests that you may still be in need of a jacket, with temperatures floating around 20ºC.
Eagle-eyed weather watchers have been cautiously optimistic about the forecasts, however:

Over on the The Met Office, reports are looking similarly underwhelming, with suggestions of more clouds, light rain and only a major bit of brightness arriving just as the festival draws to a close on Sunday.
Dry for most on Friday, although rather cloudy at first. Some sunshine developing for a time later, but the skies tending to cloud over from the north later on. Maximum temperature 20 °C. Outlook for Saturday to Sunday: Breezy on Saturday with some showers likely. Meanwhile, drier and brighter on Sunday.
