Glee star Matthew Morrison announces wife has given birth to their second child

Glee star Matthew Morrison has announced that his wife Renee has given birth to their second child.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2014 and already share 3-year-old son Revel James Makai, welcomed a daughter named Phoenix Monroe Morrison on June 28.

They confirmed the news to People, with adorable family photos:

"Our family is now complete," the couple said in a statement.

Matthew first confirmed Renee's pregnancy in April this year, with the pair having experienced a number of past miscarriages.

Speaking about that struggle previously, Matthew said: "It's not fun stuff.

"But it has really opened us up to having the conversation and talking about things that are taboo or a little difficult to express. So I think it has really bonded us together a lot more."

Since his starring role as Will Schuester on Glee, Matthew has appeared in The Greatest Dancer, The Good Wife, Grey's Anatomy and American Horror Story: 1984.

Speaking in 2019 about why he doesn't think a Glee revival would work, he said: "I think the show had such a moment at the right time and to recreate it now it just wouldn’t have the same impact."
