Glee star Matthew Morrison and his wife are expecting a baby

Congratulations Matthew Morrison!

The Glee star and his wife Renee are expecting their first child together and Matthew is looking forward to being “the best” father he can possibly be.

The 38-year-old star gushed about the news and can’t wait to welcome the little boy or girl into the world later this year.

Speaking to PEOPLE, he said: “The fact that it’s half me and half the person that I love most in this world [is great] … I’m so excited to meet our child and to see what he or she looks like, and to see what features of my beautiful wife that he or she has.

“I’m so excited, and I just want to be the best father I possibly can be. [I am] looking forward to everything.”

Our #MorrisonAdventures have been so epic together, but they have only just begun!! We will have a new addition to the family and I'm blown away by the unconditional love that I already possess for this child. Matthew also announced the news on Instagram, with a video montage of him caressing his 33-year-old wife’s stomach.

He captioned the clip with the words: “Our #MorrisonAdventures have been so epic together, but they have only just begun!! We will have a new addition to the family.”

The Californian based star is currently in London and performed at the Hippodrome Casino on Tuesday and Wednesday. Next, the iconic venue will host ‘Sam Bailey In Concert’ when the X Factor star takes to the stage on June 1. Tickets can be purchased here.
