Rome and The Following star James Purefoy appeared on Good Morning Britain today (January 18).

And nobody seemed more excited than Ben Shephard as he interviewed the actor with co-hosts Kate Garraway, Richard Arnold and Susanna Reid.

During the chat, the presenter couldn't resist asking him about what it's like to get completely naked for the camera in certain scenes.

"I have a huge admiration for you," Ben explained. "I'm not scared of getting naked but it's just in that sort of environment."

The question made James laugh as he pointed out: "It's always the chaps that ask me about this!"

He added: "It's not something I have a problem with, no. We are all naked at least twice a day, we were born naked, it's just not a big deal.

"The first time I was ever on stage I was naked at 17. It was very cold!"

James went on to reveal that he even has some naked scenes in his latest Netflix series Altered Carbon.

"It's shot on 8k cameras," the actor continued. "I'm not even sure if anyone has an 8k television.

"But every detail is a feast for the eyes!"

Kate, who is currently tee total after giving up alcohol for dry January, then jokingly complained that James is fully clothed in Channel 5 series The Wine Show.

"I can't drink and you're not naked, it's difficult to watch," she quipped.

However, Ben then argued that it didn't matter, as just listening to James' voiceover clips on the show is pretty impressive.

"It's impossibly sexy listening to your voiceovers," he told the actor. "I guarantee you can make anything sound sexy."

As a joke, he then handed James a piece of paper with the intro to Good Morning Britain written on it and asked him to read it out.

"Live from the ITV studios in London, this is Good Morning Britain with Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid," he read.

Kate then pretended to fan herself and laughed: "I definitely micro-cheated during that!"

The flirtatious exchanges did not go unnoticed by those tuning in at home.
