GMB's Piers Morgan just said naughty word live on air
Britain may have collectively spat its coffee over its cornflakes this morning as Piers Morgan and his Good Morning Britain colleagues said a naughty(ish) word live on air.
Piers mentioned a tweet in which someone referred to him as a "cockwomble", with Susanna questioning whether they were allowed to say it so early. Fair point.
Charlotte Hawkins explained that the word meant a "foolish or obnoxious person", as Piers joked that he didn't "see any relation between that word and me".
"Cockwomble," Piers then said defiantly after Susanna encouraged him to say it again, although his co-host later admitted that she "looked forward to hearing from Ofcom" over it.
It's safe to say viewers found the moment hilarious:
I've been watching bits of @GMB / who can shout the loudest, for the past few weeks as I get ready for work (really only for @susannareid100 to be honest) but to hear Piers Morgan refer to himself as a cockwomble is the first sensible thing he has ever said.#GMB

Yesterday (December 10), Charlotte revealed that Piers' mum has told him off for being mean on TV.
"From time to time, Piers will ask me if he's taken it too far but if he ever really upset me then he'd know about it straight away," she explained. "Sometimes his mum texts him to tell him off for being mean to me!"
On yesterday's GMB, meanwhile, I'm a Celebrity winner Harry Redknapp admitted he did not recognise runner-up Emily Atack outside the jungle after seeing her "scrubbed up".
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
