GMB's Kate Garraway consoles tearful I'm a Celeb star after emotional confession
During this morning's programme of Good Morning Britain, an emotional exchange occurred as Kate Garraway fought back tears after discussing the burden of caregiving with music producer Naughty Boy.
Known outside his stage name as Shahid Khan, the former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star shared a poignant tale of caring for his mother post-stroke, which has now necessitated her moving into his home for ongoing support. Mum-of-two Kate, greatly moved by Naughty Boy's plight which resonates with her due to caring for her husband Derek Draper during his struggle with long Covid, was unable to contain her emotions.
In a moment of solidarity, she offered him a hug, saying "Can I give you a hug?" Naughty Boy agreed with open arms, replying "Of course".

Their heartfelt embrace was accompanied by Kate's profound statement, "It takes a village, doesn't it?".
Naughty Boy detailed how he balances personal care duties with professional assistance, giving him space to engage in his passion for music production; this includes working on his newest album, which he dedicates to his mother.
Since the death of her husband Derek, from Chorley, Kate has been committed to highlighting the challenges faced by carers and the deficiencies in the caregiving system remains unwavering, including her ITV documentary, Caring for Derek, which aired in February last year. Naughty Boy - who appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! for 16 days in 2021 before being eliminated - then presented Kate with a thoughtful gift on air, a book titled The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari.
This gesture sparked studio guests to playfully note he was more of a 'good boy', highlighting his kind-heartedness. The book he gifted is described on Amazon as an invitation for readers to leave behind materialism and embrace a joy-filled destiny, reports the Express.
When Naughty Boy handed her the book, Kate quipped: "I don't have a Ferrari to sell!" but he explained that it was more about being "spiritual". Susanna Reid then joined in, asking if there's a "bond between carers" during the heartfelt segment.
Naughty Boy confirmed there's a deep understanding of "what it takes" to be a carer. The moment resonated with viewers, one tweeting: "What a lovely emotional interview, as a carer for my husband, former carer for my dad til his death and a home carer for work, felt every word he and Kate were saying."
Another declared: "Let's not beat around the bush, carers simply aren't appreciated enough! #GMB." Some did share concerns that the discussion didn't represent "real" carers who can't afford a team of paid helpers.
However, addressing this, Naughty Boy highlighted the need for paid carers' leave, acknowledging that not everyone can afford necessary time off.
