Goals on University Football Field Slanted in Strong Washington State Winds

The uprights of a football field’s goals at a university in Tacoma were seen slanting during strong winds in Washington state on November 15.

The National Weather Service said the strong winds were a result of an oncoming cold front.

Some of the strongest wind gusts were recorded Coupeville, reaching a high of 75 mph, the NWS said.

Video posted by David Peterson showed the posts on the field of the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma on what he said was a “crazy day of wild winds”.

“Not the easiest day to kick a field goal,” Peterson added on Twitter. Credit: David Peterson via Storyful
