'My God, my God': Dramatic aftermath of Westminster terror attack

Footage has emerged of the crashed car on Westminster Bridge just seconds after it mowed down a crowd of pedestrians in a terror attack which left four people dead.

A witness who shot the footage described hearing a loud bang and the driver running from the scene as a hail of gunfire rang out.

A crowd of stunned tourists could be seen stood next to the 4x4 vehicle as a victim lay injured on the ground just metres away.

In the background, a man’s voice could be heard shouting: “My God, my God.”

The witness, named Claudia, who filmed the footage, described the aftermath in a series of tweets.

She wrote: “I was on Westminster when the loud bang happened. Saw what's on my vid but then saw a man run and shots fired at him. "Get down!" Panic.

“Tried to check on the guy stuck under the car but couldn't get to him. Looked in really bad shape. I'm shaken up to say the least.”

She later added: “Couldn't get in touch with a colleague that left work at the same time - just found a photo on news, being treated to minor injuries.”

Medical crews were seen treating patients on Westminster Bridge after the 4x4 vehicle ploughed into the crowd.

At least four shots were reportedly heard after the vehicle mowed down pedestrians on the bridge. A police officer was then stabbed.

Four people have been killed, including the armed police officer, who was protecting Parliament, and the attacker. One woman died as tourists fled in terror on the bridge, according to a junior doctor at nearby St Thomas' Hospital.

Others suffered "catastrophic injuries."

Three French teenagers who were on a school trip to the capital were among those hit when the vehicle ploughed into tourists on the bridge.

One of the three students, aged between 15 and 16, was thrown onto the roof of the car which ploughed into crowds of pedestrians at 2.40pm on Wednesday, according to French newspaper Le Telegramme.

Scotland Yard confirmed the incident is being treated as a terror attack and said at least 20 people had been injured.
