Our favourite Gogglebox families were back to walk us through more outrageous telly on Friday... and pitch us on breakfast cereal, oddly enough.
This week's episode was filled with plenty of hot takes from Giles and Mary, Leon and June and those hilarious Warner sisters as they tried to process the week in news and some cracking telly. Oh, and there was a weird advert for Corn Flakes too.
Let's join the Gogglebox crew to look back on the week that was. (Warning: NSFW tweets below)
Gogglebox tried out branded advertising by having the families eat Corn Flakes. It did not go down well (unlike Cornflakes, which always go down a treat. We'll take that cheque now Kellogg's.).
This #Gogglebox cornflakes thing is just desperate. I'm cringing.- Charlotte Steggz 🍔 (@charlottesteggz) April 7, 2017
What the hell is this? A Kellogg's ad masquerading as #Gogglebox? Wrong, wrong, WRONG.- Stacey Bowman (@StaceBoop) April 7, 2017
Cornflakes, stop infiltrating the innocence of #Gogglebox !- Nathan Lee (@NathanLeeTV) April 7, 2017
The week's biggest shock is that Stephen Webb is 46. How is that even possibly?
Ooh, Bill and Josef are back!
Bill and Josef are STILL there?! How have they outlasted Steph and Dom?! #Gogglebox- Johnny McVey 💿 (@mrjohnnymac18) April 7, 2017
Kitchen 999: Emergency Chefs taught us that dolphin potatoes do NOT = Dauphinoise potatoes. Sorry, Stephen.
Bloody hell, The Voice UK's Michelle John's version 'Purple Rain' was "a bit screamy", wasn't it?
Never touch Purple Rain. Are you stupid? #Gogglebox- Michelle Mary Roy (@MichelleMaryRo4) April 7, 2017
#Gogglebox Glad I didn't watch The Voice then. That screaming at the end of Purple Rain was ghastly- Tracy Davidson (@tracydavidson27) April 7, 2017
Fucking hell. Watching #Gogglebox that woman singing Purple rain?? Bloody fucking awful.- Deb wood (@zubiedoo) April 7, 2017
There's just one word to describe Alone with the In-Laws: awk-ward! You can cut the tension with a knife.
Holy crap, I am so glad my in laws aren't like this. We hang out, get on really well. This is AWKWARD #Gogglebox- The Eloquent Parrot (@EloquentParrot) April 7, 2017
Wait, is that Frank Skinner?!
BBC Two once again proves...
Gogglebox will be back next Friday night for more expert TV analysis at 9pm on Channel 4. Hopefully without Corn Flakes.
