Gogglebox's Malone family share emotional message after their dog dies

Gogglebox's Malone family have shared an emotional message after the death of their dog, Lucy.

The Rottweiler would often appear alongside the rest of the family as they watched and gave their thoughts on various TV programmes.

Tom Malone Jr posted an emotional tribute to the dog on Instagram alongside a picture of the beloved pet. He wrote: "Rest easy Lucy, you were a good girl."

A number of other reality stars also offered their condolences to the Malones. Bobby Seagull, who partnered with Tom on Real Dirty Dancing, wrote: "Sending you love Tom x."

The Malones, who are one of the most popular families on Channel 4's hit reality show, have become known for their many Rottweilers, which can often be seen lying on the sofa with the family.

Lucy is not the first dog the family have lost. The Malones previously had a Rottweiler called Frank who died in 2018.

At the time, Shaun Malone wrote: "After 11 years with the family it was so hard but best thing to do for him we’ve had to put my dog frank to sleep RIP Frankie."

The Malones joined Gogglebox for its fourth series which premiered in 2014 and have been with the show ever since. From Manchester, they quickly became known for always having a full plate of snacks in front of them but never eating.

Tom Jr left the show in 2021 to pursue other opportunities. He is also a professional dancer and has performed with the likes of Rita Ora and Fergie.

His dance group Ruff Diamond previously appeared on Sky One's Got to Dance where they finished runners-up.

Shaun Malone has also worked in the entertainment industry, appearing in the West End production of Billy Elliot.

His battle with a rare brain disease was also depicted on ITV's Children's Hospital.
