Gogglebox star Ellie Warner’s boyfriend Nat Eddleston has been making great strides in his recovery following a horror hit and run in March that left him fighting for his life.

The 31-year-old was seen on Tuesday for the first time in public since it happened and was sporting a neck brace.

Mr Eddleston walked unaided, carrying shopping bags in either hand for the outing in Leeds earlier this week in pictures obtained by the MailOnline.

The only sign that he had been unwell was the halo brace, which is used to keep the neck and spine from moving while spinal injuries heal.

Eddleston was said to be on life support after suffering collapsed lungs and a broken neck after a car struck him and then drove off in the early hours of the morning following a night out in Halton, Leeds on March 19.

A family member told The Sun on Sunday after the incident: “Nat is in intensive care with a broken neck, broken back, two collapsed lungs and possible brain damage.

“He is on a life support machine and all the family and Ellie are obviously very worried for him.”

Hairdresser Warner, 31, has appeared on the Channel 4 show alongside her sister Izzi Warner since 2015.

Eddleston briefly appeared alongside her on the show during the first months of the Covid lockdown.

She took two months out of filming to support his partner in his recovery, with the full support of show bosses.

Warner returned to filming earlier this month.
