Gogglebox star Izzi Warner emotional as she shares family update

Gogglebox's Izzi Warner was emotional as she shared a special family update. The reality TV star is renowned for her role as an armchair critic on the popular Channel 4 programme.

Izzi is joined on the show by her sister, Ellie Warner, and the two have become fan favourites with their hilarious observations on the week's best TV. The reality star regularly keeps fans updated with her life away from screen on Instagram. Izzi is the proud mum of two and was emotional as her daughter Bessie marked a special milestone.

Izzi took to the social media platform to reveal it was Bessie's first day of school. She shared a snap of her youngest child alongside tearful emojis to mark the occasion.

Izzi issued the update as excitement builds for the upcoming season of Gogglebox. Gogglebox has been off air since season 23 came to an end in May.

However, fans don't have to wait too long for season 24 to return as Channel 4 have confirmed to the ECHO that the new series will be back on September 13. Viewers will be delighted when the staple of Friday night television once again returns for its 24th season in two weeks' time.

All the fan favourites from the last season are expected to once again return to the cast. Izzi issued a joint post alongside the Siddiquis, Jenny Newby, Lee Ryan and the official Gogglebox account urging fans to vote for Gogglebox at the National Television Awards.

The programme is up for the Best Factual Entertainment award at the ceremony. An update on the show's Instagram said: "One week left to #VOTEGOGGLEBOX for best FACTUAL ENTERTAINMENT in the @officialntas www.nationaltvawards.com/vote And don’t forget to join us next Friday 13th September on @channel4 for a brand new series of #Gogglebox"

Fans were delighted about the show's imminent return and said it has their vote for the awards. Dave said: "The Gift that keeps on giving."

Gillian commented: "Already voted for Gogglebox. Good luck." Navid commented: "Voted." Dawn posted: "Voted." Debi added: "Voted purely because of Lee and Jenny."

Izzi has kept fans updated throughout her summer break and won lots of praise as she showed off her weight loss transformation during a day at the races. Izzi shared a stunning photo as she enjoyed a day at York Races in July, and was inundated with compliments.

The reality star looked incredible as she posed for the camera in front of the racecourse, wearing a red and pink floral twisted drape midi dress by ASOS DESIGN. Her blonde locks fall in soft waves, and she has a glam makeup look with pink flourishes and a pink lip.

Captioning the post, Izzi simply said: "Yay or Neigh", and fans have been quick to respond in the comments section. Pat said: "You look amazing" and Lisa said: "You look lovely!!! Enjoy and be lucky xxx", while Tracey said: "You look stunning". Carl said: "Absolutely stunning" and Lisa said: "You look simply stunning, that dress was made for you".

Izzi is almost unrecognisable from her first Gogglebox appearance, having overhauled her lifestyle of late. Six months after giving birth to her daughter, Bessie, in 2020, Izzi began her slimming journey, and has competed in a number of official running races since. In February 2023 she said she was "absolutely buzzing with myself" when she ran her first 10 mile race.

She told fans: "Considering this time last year I wouldn’t have even run for a bus. Big love to all my running club family, who without them, I would have defo quit by now. Next stop, half marathon.”
