Gogglebox star Izzi Warner's 'wedding of the year' update wows fans

Gogglebox star Izzi Warner thrilled fans as she shared updates from her weekend celebrations. The reality TV star is renowned for her role as an armchair critic on the popular Channel 4 programme.

Izzi is gearing up to return to Gogglebox on Friday when she will once again issue her verdict on the week's best TV with her sister, Ellie Warner. The sisters regularly post updates from their lives away from the screen on Instagram. Izzi and Ellie have taken to the social media platform to reveal they prepared for the start of the new season of Gogglebox in style by attending their friends wedding.

Izzi dazzled as she wore a blue floral dress to the party. She shared a snap with her 413,000 followers alongside the caption: "Wedding of the year. Huge Congratulations Corey & Rhys. I am so happy to be celebrating your special day."

Gogglebox stars Pete and Sophie Sandiford were among the thousands who liked the post. Fans flooded the comments to praise Izzi as she showed off her weight loss transformation.

Izzi is almost unrecognisable from her first Gogglebox appearance, having overhauled her lifestyle of late. Six months after giving birth to her daughter, Bessie, in 2020, Izzi began her slimming journey, and has competed in a number of official running races since. In February 2023 she said she was "absolutely buzzing with myself" when she ran her first 10 mile race.

She told fans: "Considering this time last year I wouldn’t have even run for a bus. Big love to all my running club family, who without them, I would have defo quit by now. Next stop, half marathon.”

Viewers will be delighted when Gogglebox once again returns for its 24th season on Friday. All the fan favourites from the last season are expected to once again return to the cast. Izzi issued a joint post alongside the Siddiquis, Jenny Newby, Lee Ryan and the official Gogglebox account urging fans to vote for Gogglebox at the National Television Awards.

The programme is up for the Best Factual Entertainment award at the ceremony. An update on the show's Instagram said: "One week left to #VOTEGOGGLEBOX for best FACTUAL ENTERTAINMENT in the @officialntas www.nationaltvawards.com/vote And don’t forget to join us next Friday 13th September on @channel4 for a brand new series of #Gogglebox"
