Gogglebox star Stephen Webb shares emotional family update

Stephen Webb has shared a tribute to his mum on the anniversary of her death. The former Gogglebox star posted a picture of the two to his Instagram account.

The TV star left the Channel 4 show towards the end of 2023, making his final appearance alongside his ex-husband Daniel Lustig earlier in the year. Stephen's mum, Pat Webb, also appeared on our screens many times during series 10 and 12.

Last year, Gogglebox confirmed Pat passed away at the age of 75 after a long illness. In a statement, they said: "Mummy Pat will be remembered and missed by her children Stephen, Denise, Sharon, Beverley and the extended family. Our thoughts are with the family who have requested privacy at this sad time."

Stephen shared a picture of him and his mum together on the show and wrote a touching tribute. He said: "One year since mummy Pat passed, miss your laughter, your no nonsense advice. The only person who could make me crying laughing. Miss ya mum."

In a tribute to his mum in 2023, Stephen wrote: "Mummy Pat, you were one in a million, took everyone at face value, would share your last fiver with a stranger, the salt of the earth and the absolute centre of our world! Rest in peace mum."

Speaking about his decision to quit the show ahead for what was to be an appearance on Dancing on Ice last year, Stephen revealed: it's time to move on and see what else is out there". Stephen and his former partner Daniel Lustig split up in 2024.

In an interview with Best magazine, Daniel clarified his living situation with his ex, revealing that they are in fact still living together. Speaking on new podcast 'Suddenly Single' hosted by Best Magazine UK, he shared, in the months that followed the split, the pair have remained friends and are still living together in Brighton and remain business partners running a hair salon together.
