Gogglebox fans were treated to laughs and surprises as the show returned to Channel 4 for a new series. Firm favourites like the Siddiqui family from Derby were sharing their thoughts on a variety of new TV shows.

Raza Siddiqui provided a comical highlight when he shared an embarrassing personal story with his father Sid and brother Baasit. During a chat about his regular swimming sessions, Raza admitted that he'd suffered a wardrobe mishap.

He detailed the incident: "So I went the other day and my bag felt kind of light. So, I did my swimming session, I went back to the changing room, put my briefs on and my T-shirt on.." It was then he realised his mistake. "And I realised I didn't have any shorts!"

He humorously recounted how he had to make a stealthy exit: "So I had to sheepishly get out of the swimming baths without anybody seeing me in my briefs and my T-shirt."

He continued his tale amid family laughter: "I had to drive home, park on the drive and then quickly run out of the car and into my house in just my pants and T-shirt! ", reports the Mirror.

The theme of nudity didn't end there as Channel 4 later introduced viewers to the concept of its upcoming dating show, Dating Naked, fronted by Rylan Clark. The reaction among the households varied, with Sophie Sandiford showing enthusiasm for the announcement, whereas Mary Killen dismissed it as "another excuse for people to perve".

Baasit humorously pointed out that British TV had not yet created a naked version of the Bake Off, suggesting it could be called "The Great British Nake-Off". The Gogglebox cast were left gobsmacked as they watched contestants go on their initial dates in the buff.

In an exclusive chat with RadioTimes.com, Rylan confessed he was at a loss for words when approached to host the series. He shared: "The guys from Paramount Plus called me and said, 'This is something we'd like you to do,' and I was like, 'I'm sorry, what? I don't understand what you mean.' They were like, 'Yeah, they're naked, dating, and you see everything.'"
