Tonight's (September 27) instalment of Gogglebox saw the cast react to Chris McCausland's "unreal" Strictly Come Dancing performance.

The comedian took to the dance floor last weekend to perform a Cha Cha to The Beatles' 1961 hit 'Twist and Shout' with his professional partner Dianne Buswell. The pair scored 23 points, with the judges praising Chris for his "timing" skills.

"He's jiving his hips, look," said Shaun Malone as the duo's performance began, with his dad Tom adding: "Hip movement in there, he's warming up."

"Go on, Chris! Look at that, you wouldn't know he was blind," remarked Jenny Newby, while Giles Wood said: "He's not bad at all."

Dave Griffiths echoed the sentiment, saying: "I suppose if you've got rhythm, you've got rhythm."

Towards the end of the dance, Chris performed a show-stopping windmill movement, which involved Dianne swinging between his legs.

Tristan Plummer branded the move "unreal", while his brother Tremaine praised Dianne for "seamlessly" guiding her partner.

The show's viewers quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their reactions to Chris's dance moves, with one writing: "That's how you dance."

"Not bad? He's bloody brilliant," another added, while a third commented: "Chris McCausland is one brilliant human being."

While appearing on It Takes Two earlier this week, Dianne shared how she's had to adapt her usual training approach to teach Chris.

"It's obviously very different. We use a lot of feel," she said. "I'll be like, 'Get down on your knees, and feel my legs'. It is a different way of teaching."

The dancer went on to explain that Chris often asks her to show the movements with her feet so he co hear what she's doing. "He uses the sounds very, very well," she added.

This weekend, Chris and Dianne are hoping to avoid the dreaded dance-off with their Foxtrot to The Tams 1968 hit 'Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy'.

Gogglebox airs and streams on Channel 4.
