Last night (April 19) brought us another highly amusing episode of Gogglebox, with Mary and Marina confusing catch-up TV for ketchup, and some bemused reactions to some birds performing a mating dance.
But there was something missing from last night's instalment, and that something was any sign of fan-favourite couple Giles and Mary.
And we don't mean Mary had finally blended into her chair and walls, it was the fact that we didn't get to visit Wiltshire at all.
Fans were left wondering where they had gone:
Where are giles and mary tonight?!?!? Actually fumin #gogglebox- Jessie (@Jessie18014672) April 19, 2019
Dunno what's bn more surprising 'bout tonight's #gogglebox, no Giles & Mary or no F-Words coming outta the Lampard family mouths 🤔- Gavin Evans (@GavinEvs) April 19, 2019
Where are the Nutties tonight? I’m missing Giles’ observations. #Gogglebox- Lynsey Spence (@Sidekick28) April 19, 2019
#Gogglebox ain't the same without Giles, like a fry up without black pudding...- Dan Harvey (@HarvsTheDuck) April 19, 2019
Don't think I'm going to hear " in Wiltshire Giles & his wife Mary " on tonight's #gogglebox- Gavin Evans (@GavinEvs) April 19, 2019
There's nothing to worry about though, as the show's creator Tania Alexander revealed on Twitter that the pair are just on a holiday and will be back next week.
On hols. Back next week 😘- Tania Alexander (@Tanialalexander) April 19, 2019
But wait... does that mean that on the next show we'll see the duo all tanned up and sipping on the margaritas they've brought back with them? Because we'd be okay with that.
Some of Giles and Mary's more memorable moments on the Channel 4 show include Mary's absolutely brutal impression of Hillary Clinton, Giles' takedown of Mary Berry's attempts at innuendo, their musical talents and, of course, Mary's always distinctive sense of style.
Gogglebox is currently airing its 13th(!) series every Friday night at 9pm on Channel 4, right after Joe Lycett's consumer affairs show (which we feel not many people are talking about but it is actually really really good).
