On tonight's episode of Gogglebox (March 22), Giles and Mary were once again the prominent providers of amusement as they debated one of Mary Berry's innuendos.

The married couple from Wiltshire were watching Berry's latest programme Quick Cooking, in which she travels the world dishing up supposedly easy-to-make recipes.

And it was during a segment with singer Rick Astley that the former Great British Bake Off judge made a potentially NSFW remark.

After Rick showed her around Camp Bestival in Dorset, Mary turned to the singer and said with a wry smile: "I'd like you to try my muffins."

"Oh don't say that's meant to be an innuendo," said Mary back in Wiltshire as she watched the programme, reminding Giles of Berry's naughty wordplay.

"No, it wasn't an innuendo, Mary," replied Giles. "'Try my muffins' is not an innuendo. Don't go there, you've overthinking it."

So, if Giles says it wasn't innuendo, it wasn't an innuendo.

Still, over the years, Mary Berry has gained a reputation for being an innuendo pro, to the extent that we've even ranked the naughtiest ones from Bake Off.

She spent the rest of the Quick Cooking episode playing drums with Rick and wandering around the festival sharing her recipes for raisin ice cream veggie kebabs. But there's no word on if she insisted on anyone else trying her muffin.

Gogglebox returns next Friday (March 29) at 9pm on Channel 4 and Mary Berry's Quick Cooking continues next Tuesday (March 26) at 8.30pm on BBC Two.
