Yahoo News Gogglebox's Tom Malone has received vile racist abuse towards his girlfriend
Gogglebox star Tom Malone has revealed the shocking racist abuse he and his girlfriend Bryony Briscoe, who is mixed race, have received since posting a video they did together on TikTok.
Addressing the comments across all of his social media channels. the professional dancer called for his followers to report any prejudice they see online, as he championed the Black Lives Matter movement.
"So, not long ago I posted a video on TikTok of me and my girlfriend just having fun; some people said I was punching," Malone began, explaining that the couple were performing a routine to the J Hus track 'Did You See'.
"That song, me and my girlfriend just dancing – I've got a peng girlfriend. So tell me why someone feels the need, in 2020, to comment this," the 26-year-old continued, pointing out one particular offensive message.
Malone continued: "We are in 2020, people still want to be racist. People say that racism is done, it's not – look at this stupidness. You're clearly not an evolved human being, look at that.
"Report the comment, report the profiles, get this gone. TikTok is supposed to be a platform for people to have fun, dance, enjoy themselves – and you've got people saying stuff like this. Report it all. Get it gone. Black Lives Matter."

Malone and Leeds-based make-up model Briscoe first went public with their relationship last month, when the former shared a snapshot of the pair of them cuddling on Instagram.
In the photo, Briscoe – who appeared to be grinning from ear to ear – can be seen hugging Malone from behind, as he stares moodily into the camera.
"Sums us up," he jokingly captioned the image.
Later, he confirmed the twosome were dating with another post that read: "When you're on your 5000th photo because your girlfriend hasn't liked any of them."
Gogglebox returns to Channel 4 next month (Friday, September 11).
