We can't say no to a gritty police drama, and The Jetty starring Jenna Coleman, House of the Dragon's Tom Glynn-Carney and Bridgerton's Ruby Stokes has had us hooked since it dropped. But, will there be a second season?
The BBC drama sees Jenna star as Detective Ember Manning, who is investigating what appears to be a routine case, but a darker story emerges linked to an old crime, causing Ember to delve back into her own past and how it connects to now.
It's got nail-biting tension and lots of twist and turns, meaning we're already itching for more episodes. If you're anything like us, then look no further as from the cast to potential plot, here is what we know about The Jetty season two.
What is The Jetty about?
The official synopsis for the four-part BBC drama is as follows, "When a fire tears through a property in a scenic Lancashire lake town, Detective Ember Manning must work out how it connects to a podcast journalist investigating a missing person cold case, and an illicit relationship between a man in his twenties and two underage girls.
"But as Ember gets close to the truth, it threatens to destroy her life – forcing her to re-evaluate everything she thought she knew about her past, present and the town she’s always called home. As much a coming-of-age story as a detective thriller, The Jetty asks big questions about sexual morality, identity and memory, in the places that Me Too has left behind." Yep, we're already hooked!
Will there be a The Jetty season 2?
So, there is no news yet on the future of The Jetty. As the series aired on 15th July, we may have a little longer to wait until we hear more news about future seasons of the police drama. Watch this space for updates!

What might the plot of The Jetty season 2 be?
Spoiler alert! So, in the final episode, we learn that Arj killed Riz and Ember finally pieces together all her flashbacks and realises that she killed Amy, with Mack covering for her to protect her.
Arj attempts to kill Ember, but she manages to escape and he kills himself, to which she later pins the blame of Amy's death on him, too.
Ember also tells Miranda she needs to make the world a safer place for her daughter by putting predatory men in jail. So, season two could see Ember embark on this journey for justice.
