Harry Kane has edged closer to Golden Boot favourite Romelu Lukaku with his penalty in Tottenham's win over Arsenal, but is running out of time to trump the Everton rival.

The striker scored in his fourth consecutive north London derby on Sunday as Spurs confirmed a league finish above the Gunners for the first time in 22 seasons.

It was Kane's 21st league strike of the season, with Lukaku ahead on 24 but drew a blank against Chelsea as Everton lost 3-0 at Goodison Park.

The Belgian remains odds-on to pick up his first Golden Boot but a glimmer of hope for Kane is that Spurs have an extra game to play during the season run-in.

The only other movement on the top scorers list was Dele Alli notching his 17th of the campaign, the midfielder drawing level with Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his remarkable season continues.

Ibrahimovic is out for the season, if not the calendar year, while Sergio Aguero, Diego Costa and Alexis Sanchez all failed to add to their tallies with the 20-goal marker in sight.

Bournemouth's Joshua King added to his own tally as his impressive 2017 continued, his return of 15 now matching Eden Hazard's.
