Golden Globes 2018: Nicole Kidman slammed as she snubs adopted children in acceptance speech
Nicole Kidman has faced criticism after she completely snubbed her two adopted children as she accepted her Golden Globes’ award last night [7 January].
The actress picked up the gong for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Television Movie for her role as a domestic violence victim in Big Little Lies, but her speech raised eyebrows when she only acknowledged her biological children.
Taking to the stage, Nicole said: “First cab off the rank, that means my daughters are still awake so Sunny, Faith I love you. I’m bringing this home to you babies.”
She also thanked her mother, adding: “She was an advocate for the women’s movement when I was growing up.
“My achievements are her achievements.”
Nicole shares nine-year-old Sunday and seven-year-old Faith with her husband Keith Urban, but she also adopted two children, 25-year-old Isabella and 22-year-old Connor, with ex-husband Tom Cruise – and the snub did not go unnoticed.
Taking to Twitter, viewers fumed:

Why does Nicole Kidman behave like she only has 2 children. Apparently the 2 she adopted don't matter.

Did Nicole Kidman just dismiss her adopted children like they don't exist? "My two daughters," are still up. She didn't say my two youngest. Not cool. #GoldenGlobes

In 2015, Isabella Cruise hit the headlines when neither of her famous parents attended her London wedding to Max Parker, even though Nicole was actually in London at the time.
Isabella later hit back at allegations that she no longer speaks to her parents, telling the Daily Mail: “Of course we talk, they’re my parents.
“Anyone who says otherwise is full of s***.”
However, she has refused to accept any financial suppot from Nicole and Tom, who have a combined wealth of approximately $600million (£442million), and she and Max currently live in Croydon, South London.
