Killing Eve star Sandra Oh has been hailed a “legend” by fans after she landed a nomination at the Golden Globes and was announced as a host for the glitzy event.

Earlier this year, Oh made history as she became the first Asian woman to be nominated for a Lead Actress Emmy.

The 46-year-old previously spoke to Elle about discrimination against Asian actors in Hollywood, claiming producers frequently offer her roles as the friend or the sidekick.

She said she became so accustomed that when she received the script for Killing Eve she was unaware she was being offered the lead role.

She said: “[It’s] a heartbreak that I feel for my community of Asian-Americans and people who are just not represented, who are not reflected.

“[I remember] quickly scrolling through my phone, trying to find my part, and I’m talking to my agent like, 'I don’t get it. What’s the part?'.

In the mystery drama, Oh plays an investigator who becomes obsessed with the female assassin, played by Jodie Comer, she is hunting down.
