Playoff fever has hit the Vegas Strip and oh baby it’s already getting weird.
Sin City knows how to put on a show, be it strange, exhilarating, or all of the above, and the Golden Knights sure were in that spirit ahead of their first ever Stanley Cup playoff game, a 1-0 win against the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday.
The atmosphere inside T-Mobile arena was absolutely electric, the fans were jacked right up and the pregame ceremony was, ummm, well, you decide:

Not really sure what the hell is going on here but hey, a steady amount of head-scratching has surrounded Vegas’s entire inaugural NHL season, so why stop now? The market has exploded more than anyone could have ever predicted and the team’s success — a 109-point campaign and a Pacific Division title — has baffled basically everyone for the past seven months.
And hey, it must have worked. The Golden Knights came out flying and scored the only goal of the game less than four minutes into the first period.
Might as well keep it weird.
