'How Are We Gonna Get Out?' Tornado Tears Through YMCA Building

A tornado tore through the Wichita, Kansas, suburb of Andover on April 29, severely damaging structures including a YMCA building.

Footage by Amanda Remigio shows heavy damage to the YMCA building. Debris can be seen scattered across the floor while ceiling fixtures dangle from a partially collapsed roof.

“How are we gonna get out?” Remigio asks someone.

The National Weather Service (NWS) said preliminary damage assessments graded the tornado as EF-3, adding that further assessments would be carried out into Sunday. Credit: Amanda Remigio via Storyful
