'A Good Lesson': NY Firefighters Smash Windows of Car Blocking Hydrant

New Yorker Joseph John Ramos came across what he thought was a “good lesson” being taught recently, when he saw a car that was parked in front of a hydrant in Manhattan had had its windows broke so a fire crew could attach a hose.

A fire broke out at an apartment on East 102nd Street on February 17, Ramos told Storyful. “Since there was no way of getting [the hose] to the hydrant because of the car blocking it, they had to get creative and very quickly smash the car windows,” he said.
