Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid had to tell off one of her guests on Thursday (November 1) for using an inappropriate word during a debate about bottom-slapping.

Former Big Brother contestant Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace was appearing on the morning show to discuss the recent case of a Navy commander who was cleared by military court for slapping a female officer’s behind.

Horgan-Wallace was defending the actions of the commander, Steven Heap, but used the word ‘arse’ when arguing her point, which prompted Reid warn her about her use of language.

“I’m not saying it’s right,” said Horgan-Wallace. “I’m not saying ‘oh come on, please slap my a***, I’d love that’.”

Reid then interrupted: “Okay, shall we not use the A word at 6.40am in the morning?”

Her temporary co-host was oblivious to the use of language and said: “Oh sorry that went right over my head.”

However, it was journalist Radhika Sanghani who actually used the word first when making her point on the opposite side of the argument.

”For a lot of people it’s easier to visualise it in the work place. If you’re a junior and your boss suddenly grabs your a**e, I mean sorry but… I’m so sorry.”

Explaining her point, Horgan-Wallace added: “We need to take into account the circumstances. There was a lot of alcohol involved and I don’t think it was meant sexually.

“If it was meant sexually, I don’t think he should have been reprimanded or gone as far as it went.

“I think it’s a real shame that he’s given us 30 years of service and he’s going to be remembered for this, even though he’s exonerated.”

Horgan-Wallace has since posted a series of tweets jokingly apologising for swearing live on air.
